Admission to AY2010-11 undergraduate programmes for students with Indonesia SMA UAN qualification
Application Procedures
Please read the following instructions carefully before you fill in the application form at Step 6.
Step 1: This application form is only for applicants with Indonesian SMA Ujian Akhir Nasional (UAN) qualification. Only one electronic application form should be submitted as duplicate applications will not be processed.
Step 2: Upon successful submission of the online application form, take note of the application number assigned to you and items to be completed at the tracking page. You may go back to view the same page at Check Status link. An acknowledgment of your application will be forwarded to the email address(es) you have provided in the online application form.
Step 3: Pay the application fee. The application fee is USD30 or S$30 for international applicants. Applicants who pay by credit card enjoy a discounted rate of S$20.
The application fee for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents is S$10.
Payment may be made by one of the following methods:
- Internet Payment (VISA/MasterCard).
- Bank draft made payable to ‘Nanyang Technological University’ with name and application number written on the back of the bank draft.
- DBS/POSB Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Singapore only.
- Cash payment at NTU Cashier.
Please read payment instructions at ‘Application Fee’ link at tracking page or Check Status link. The application fee is non-refundable and is payable whether your application is ultimately successful or not. We do not accept payment by postal order (except Singapore Post postal order), electronic bank transfer or Western Union money transfer.
Step 4: Prepare photocopies or scanned copies of the following supporting documents. The photocopies of academic results must be certified by your school teachers/principal or any gazetted officers.
- Passport particulars page. Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents must provide Singapore Identity Card. International applicants without passport may submit birth certificate or residential certificate.
- EBTANAS/SMA National & School examination results (if available). Submit Bahasa copy. Translation not required.
- School Reports (Rapor SMA). Submit Bahasa copy. Translation not required.
- Kelas 1/Grade 10 (Semester 1, 2)
- Kelas 2/Grade 11 (Semester 1, 2)
- Kelas 3/Grade 12 (Semester 1, 2), if available
- SMP National & School Examination results slip and certificate. Submit Bahasa copy. Translation not required.
- University academic transcripts (if applicable)
- TOEFL, SAT1 or IELTS (if applicable, do not provide predicated grades)
Only applicable for students who have chosen Art, Design & Media:
It is compulsory to submit five (5) submission not more than 1 week after the closing date of application for admission.
These assignments are to be completed in a specific material and size requirement. The specific assignments will be available on the NTU School of Art, Design & Media website.
All portfolio submissions must arrive in physical form on CD-ROM, DVD or in original or duplicated work. All work must be hand delivered, or sent by courier or by standard mail. No work will be accepted if sent by email attachment.
Step 5: Submit supporting documents. Please use one of the following methods to submit your documents but not both:
- Upload online. Login to tracking page at Check Status link and go to ‘Checklist’ at ‘Supporting Documents’ link. Click ‘Upload’ at the relevant items to upload your file. As only one file is allowed for uploading for each item, please ensure that you have scanned all pages of your document in a single file in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF file format before you submit. Each upload should not exceed 5 MB.
- Send by post. Print a copy of Checklist at ‘Supporting Documents’ link at tracking page as the cover page of your supporting documents. Arrange your documents in the order as per checklist and post it to the following address not more than 1 week after the closing date: 15 December 2009. Please do not send original documents.

catatan :
- Sehubungan dengan telah terbitnya SK Rektor ITB no. 071/SK/K01/PP/2006, tertanggal 17 Maret 2006, tentang Sistem Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru ITB, maka secara resmi, setiap mahasiswa baru diterima menjadi mahasiswa fakultas/sekolah terlebih dahulu, sebelum akhirnya memilih salah satu program studi serumpun dalam fakultas/sekolah yang sama, pada awal tahun kedua.
- Penempatan mahasiswa di salah satu program studi serumpun di fakultas/sekolah di ITB, dilakukan oleh ITB sebelum masa perkuliahan tahun kedua dilaksanakan, berdasarkan minat mahasiswa, kapasitas program studi yang bersangkutan, serta tergantung pada prestasi mahasiswa di tahun pertama perkuliahan, bila kapasitas program studi yang bersangkutan lebih kecil daripada jumlah mahasiswa yang memilih program studi tersebut. Kemungkinan bahwa seorang mahasiswa akhirnya dijuruskan pada program studi bukan pilihan utamanya dapat saja terjadi. Namun demikian karena pengelompokan program studi dalam suatu fakultas/sekolah didasarkan atas ekserumpunan dan kontekstualitas keilmuannya yang sama, maka perbedaan antara program studi yang satu dengan program studi yang lain dalam fakultas yang sama, tidak signifikan. ITB menyarankan agar calon mahasiswa mempelajari sistem penerimaan mahasiswa baru ini terlebih dahulu dan dapat membandingkannya dengan sistem yang diberlakukan di perguruan tinggi lainnya.
- Sebagai informasi tambahan, pada kurikulum 2008, ITB mulai memperkenalkan mata kuliah Mayor dan mata kuliah Minor. Dengan demikian, mahasiswa dari suatu program studi dapat mengambil mata kuliah di program studi lainnya, dalam jumlah terbatas. Pendidikan di ITB lebih diarahkan pada pendidikan kesarjanaan yang memberikan penguasaan ilmu yang komprehensif disertai wawasan yang luas dibandingkan ke arah vokasional yang terfokus pada aplikasi suatu bidang keahlian saja.
AYO SIAP – SIAP UJIAN PERGURUAN TINGGI
UJIAN SARINGAN MASUK INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG TERPADU
(USM-ITB TERPADU) TAHUN AKADEMIK 2010/2011
ITB, sebagai salah satu Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia, seyogyanya menggunakan skema penerimaan mahasiswa baru yang memberikan alternatif lebih banyak kepada calon mahasiswa dalam menentukan pilihannya.
Pada tahun 2010, ITB akan melakukan penerimaan mahasiswa baru program sarjana dalam Ujian Saringan Masuk ITB (USM-ITB) Terpadu, yang meliputi enam program seleksi, yaitu :
- Program Penelusuran Minat, Bakat, dan Potensi ITB (PMBP-ITB), yang terdiri atas :
- PMBP-ITB 2010 di Daerah, diselenggarakan ITB secara mandiri di beberapa kota di Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru, Makasar, Denpasar, Surabaya, dll) pada bulan Maret 2010
- PMBP-ITB 2010 Terpusat, diselenggarakan ITB secara mandiri, di kota Bandung, pada tanggal 29 dan 30 Mei 2010.
- Program Kemitraan Nusantara ITB (KN-ITB), untuk menjaring calon mahasiswa terbaik yang diajukan oleh instansi-instansi mitra ITB (Pemerintah Daerah, Perusahaan Mitra ITB, Instansi Pemerintah lainnya)
- Program Seleksi Mahasiswa Transfer ITB (SMT-ITB), bagi para mahasiswa transfer dari universitas mitra ITB yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan program sarjana di ITB, dan diajukan oleh universitas asalnya.
- Program Seleksi Mahasiswa Internasional ITB (SMI-ITB), bagi calon mahasiswa berkewarganegaraan asing yang berminat melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di ITB.
- Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) , yang rencananya akan diadakan pada awal bulan Juli 2010, dilaksanakan oleh DITJEN DIKTI, DEPDIKNAS RI.
- Jalur Beasiswa.
Di luar keenam program penerimaan mahasiswa baru tersebut diatas, ITB tidak melakukan proses Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Program Sarjana dengan cara lain, serta tidak melakukan perekrutan calon mahasiswa secara perorangan.
Pendidikan di ITB adalah pendidikan kesarjanaan yang memberikan penguasaan ilmu yang komprehensif disertai wawasan yang luas, dan dilengkapi dengan kesadaran akan pemanfaatannya, sehingga para lulusannya memiliki kemampuan dan naluri pengembangan dan/atau penerapannya, baik secara mandiri maupun dengan bekerjasama, termasuk kerjasama antar disiplin. Atas dasar itu, penerimaan mahasiswa di ITB, untuk semua jalur Ujian Saringan Masuk, dilaksanakan melalui penerimaan di tingkat Fakultas/Sekolah. Hal ini mungkin berbeda dengan beberapa universitas lain di Indonesia.
Pada tahun kedua, mahasiswa ditempatkan pada program studi yang diminatinya berdasarkan prioritas pilihannya, tempat yang tersedia, serta prestasi akademik yang dicapainya di tahun pertama perkuliahan. Kemungkinan bahwa seorang mahasiswa akhirnya dijuruskan pada program studi bukan pilihan utamanya dapat saja terjadi. Namun demikian karena pengelompokan program studi dalam suatu Fakultas/Sekolah didasarkan atas keserumpunan dan kontekstualitas keilmuan yang sama, maka perbedaan antara program studi yang satu dengan program studi yang lain di dalam Fakultas/Sekolah yang bersangkutan, tidak signifikan.
Selain itu lulusan pendidikan sarjana ITB disiapkan untuk menghadapi perubahan dan mengikuti perkembangan. Oleh karena itu setiap mahasiswa ITB jika menginginkan dapat mengambil mata kuliah dari program studi lain 10-30 % (tergantung pada ketentuan yang berlaku di program studi yang dimasukinya). Dengan demikian kesempatan untuk mengambil mata kuliah dari program studi yang menjadi pilihan utamanya tidak tertutup sama sekali, walaupun tidak sebanyak yang diinginkannya.
Dengan mempertimbangkan sistem pendidikan sarjana ITB tersebut, ITB menyarankan agar calon mahasiswa yang lebih menginginkan pendidikan vokasional, yaitu pendidikan yang lebih mengutamakan keahlian dalam bidangnya saja, atau hanya ingin masuk program studi tertentu saja, sebaiknya mempertimbangkan terlebih dahulu sebelum memilih untuk mengikuti pendidikan di ITB ini.
